Brainstorm I

In my zine I am trying to portray or show my relationship with my bed. I am thinking about a short story talking about my daily routine. I will talk about how getting out of bed is very hard and throughout my day it is something I think about and I wish to be in. from the walk to the bus, while in classes and coming back to my dorm. This short story will hopefully give an insight of someone with depression and how somethings as little as wanting to go back to bed impact and makes my day harder. I really dislike illustrator, something in me doesn't work well with it, but the assignment requires work in illustrator, so I will keep the simpler side of the project in illustrator. I will draw a stick man (me) and the unknown force pulling me towards the bed. It will be very cartoonish due to my dislike of illustrator. the scenery will be done with pictures I take during the day than I will use photoshop to overlay my illustrator work on top of the pictures. In photoshop I will try to incorporate more of an editing style, I am unsure as to how I am going to do this. I am thinking of using filters or I can make the layer multiply or darken something of the sort. I could use these effects to further enhance and emphasize the unknown power pulling me back to my bed. I also want the zine page size to be a little bit bigger, For me it is quite frustrating trying to squeeze my drawing to such little space. So instead of making a 8 page zine I will make a 6 page zine. This way my working area will be bigger.
